http://www.free-av.com's download page said (on Christmas 2007), "As of June 30th, 2007 Avira does not support this Microsoft operating system anymore. A download package for Windows 98/ME is therefore no longer provided." However, such software was still available from the download page at Avira.com which had Avira AntiVir Windows Workstation version 7 (7.00.04.13) (for Windows 98(SE)/Me) (zipped, local), Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium (7.00.04.13) (for Win 98(SE)/Me) (zipped, local, Avira AntiVir command line scanner (using ANSI code for Win98/Me) (7.06.00.07) (local, renamed), Avira AntiVir command line scanner (Unicode version for Win2K/XP/Vista) (7.06.00.07) (local, renamed). The free-av.com download page, a page that said the software was for "private, non-commercial use", also had a link to Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic and a license file for that.

There is also other software from Avira from that download page, including a link to Avira AntiVir Removal Tool for Windows which linked to Avira AntiVir Removal Tool for Windows (locally saved version 3.0.1.16 dated September 20, 2006) and PDF for Avira Removal Tool (renamed locally to tool_en.pdf locally in current directory).

Unrelated to any sort of Virus scanning, Free-av.com's download page linked to some other software. The page said: ""Avira NTFS4DOS" have been discontinued and are no longer supported by Avira. You may download them for personal use only and Avira accepts no liability." It linked, via redirection URLs, to Avira NTFSDOS Personal (available locally) and User manual "Avira NTFS4DOS Personal (zipped local as antfspdf.zip). (current directory)
