KNOWN BUGS + FIXES

* In case Setup says your video card is not recognized or supported, and then
aborts without installing the drivers:
1. Create C:\TEMP (example) from a DOS box:
MD C:\TEMP
2. Run:
NV8269.EXE /C /Q /T:C:\TEMP
3. Then run:
C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE -r -f1 C:\TEMP\SETUP.ISS
4. Reboot.
More info:
http://helpnet.installshield.com/robo/projects/HelpLibDevStudio9/IHelpSetup_EXECmdLine.htm
Automate steps above: copy + paste text below between cut & paste lines into
Notepad -> save text file as NV8269.BAT -> run NV8269.BAT (example):

-----Begin cut & paste here-----
@ECHO OFF
IF NOT EXIST C:\TEMP\NUL MD C:\TEMP
NV8269.EXE /C /Q /T:C:\TEMP
C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE -r -f1 C:\TEMP\SETUP.ISS
CLS
EXIT
------End cut & paste here------

If method above did not work, try this:
Right-click on an empty spot on your Desktop -> select Properties -> click
Settings tab -> click Advanced button -> click Adapter tab -> click Change
button -> check "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" box -> check
"Display a list of drivers in a specific location, so you can select the
driver you want" box -> click Have disk button -> browse to C:\TEMP ->
double-click on NVAGP.INF -> click OK button.

* In case you experience shut down/power down/stand by problems/General
Protection Faults (GPFs)/lockups:
Reboot -> press the BIOS setup key/key combo (F2, Del etc, depending on BIOS
brand/model) when you see the BIOS Power On Self Test (POST) screen ->
DISABLE/turn OFF "System BIOS Cacheable", "Video BIOS Cacheable", "Video BIOS
Shadowing", "Video RAM Cacheable" AND "Video ROM Cache" -> reboot.
Your motherboard BIOS may or may not have all these options, and some of their
names may be different. Disable/turn off the ones you have.
More info:
http://www.techarp.com/freebog.aspx

* This driver may change to highest vertical refresh rate frequency supported
by both GPU and CRT monitor (default mode). To change this frequency:
Right-click on an empty spot on your Desktop -> select Properties -> Settings
tab -> Advanced button -> Adapter tab -> browse "Refresh rate" slider and
select desired frequency value from the list (NEVER select frequencies NOT
supported by your monitor!) -> click the Apply/OK button.
More info:
http://www.mdgx.com/newtip23.htm#OVRR

* In case you experience slow performance in 2D/3D video/DVD/games/benchmarks
turn OFF Vertical Sync (vertical frequency synchronization between video card
and monitor):
Right-click on an empty spot on your Desktop -> select Properties -> Settings
tab -> Advanced button -> "Your NVIDIA Video Card Name" tab -> click
"Performance & Quality Settings" in the left hand pane -> under "Global driver
settings" (make sure the "Show advanced settings" box is checked) browse to
"Vertical Sync" in the right hand pane -> turn if OFF by dragging the
"Vertical Sync:" slider all the way to the left -> click the Apply/OK button.
More info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_synchronization

* Not all widescreen resolutions may display properly, especially on
LCD/plasma monitors, some may display with artifacts, black borders/pixels,
imperfections or not at all.
Some resolutions can be fixed on some monitors by turning "(Display) Adapter
Scaling" (or similar) setting ON or OFF (if available) by using your monitor
built-in On Screen Display (OSD) controls.
CAUTION: Some monitors may BREAK/CRASH IF forcing unsupported resolutions!
Make sure you update to the most recent driver/INF file from your monitor
manufacturer/vendor/developer.
